My intention as a family lawyer is to enable clients to move wisely and with confidence through their family transitions -- whether marriage, adoption, separation or divorce. For my divorce clients, my primary goal is to facilitate cooperative, creative and cost-effective problem-solving. I recognize that for divorcing clients especially, grief and stress can be compounded by the legal process. I also know that the stereotypical slugfest of divorce makes clients afraid of what may happen as they take first steps into the unknown. My job is to help make the divorce experience much less devastating. I want to help clients avoid the agony of adversarial divorce, find their way to peaceful resolution, and preserve as much as possible of what they cherish.
