Parents - Website
The OFW Journal is a space for you to keep notes, document insights, share photos, and tag locations. Within the Journal are two tools: Check-Ins and Moments. Both tools let you write notes and associate entries with specific locations, yet you will use each of these functions for unique purposes. Read on to learn how Check-Ins and Moments work within the OFW Journal via the website.
Get familiar with the OFW Journal and its tools with these frequently asked questions.
What's the difference between a Check-In and a Moment?
Check-Ins allow you to document your precise location in a particular moment. You can also write notes and attach photos to Check-Ins. This tool is useful for confirming parenting time exchanges and verifying your presence at important events. Using Check-Ins to tag locations, you can only tag a location that is within 500 ft of your current physical location.
Moments let you write notes, store images, and tag a location associated with your entry. Unlike Check-Ins, Moments let you tag any location to your entry.
Another major difference between Check-Ins and Moments is that Check-Ins can only be created on mobile devices.
When sharing a Check-In or Moment, what does it mean that shared entries will be viewable to any of my connected practitioners?
Upon creation, all Check-Ins and Moments will default to be private entries, meaning they would only be viewable to you. You'll always have the option of sharing individual entries with your practitioners or with any child or third-parties connected to your family.
When you share your entry, it will default to allow any practitioners connected to your account to have access to view it. If you aren't linked to any practitioners on OFW, your entry will only be shared with any of the individuals you select from the list below.
If I mark one Check-In or Moment as private, will all of my Check-Ins and Moments be private?
No. Each Check-In and Moment has its own privacy setting, so you can keep certain entries private and share other entries as you see fit.
Document your precise location at a specific time with Check-Ins.
Use Moments to write notes, upload photos, and tag locations associated with each entry.
