The college search

A lot of the posts on our blog seem to center around younger children but we at the OurFamilyWizard website know that you have older children, too. Essentially, colleges determine how much you and your ex will pay for college by looking at your income, assets, and a number of more complicated factors. The College Board website has some useful tools to help you predict what your child's tuition might look like.

One thing that is important to keep in mind is that the colleges may say how much needs to be paid they do not say who has to pay it. That decision is something that you and your ex will have to discuss on your own.
