Nicola Withycombe
Nicola is a professional adult trainer who has worked with separated parents for over 15 years before setting up Kids Come First ® in 2015.
She worked at a Family Mediation service in London and presented the original Cafcass SPIP (Separated Parent Information Programme) at various mediation services & branches of Relate for almost a decade.
Nicola went on to train as a civil mediator (Member of Society of Mediators) and co-found The Co-Parenting Clinic, an innovative family law service helping separated parents agree their childcare arrangements without the need for costly and adversarial family court proceedings.
As co-author of the Kids Come First ® unique support & training program, as well as their handbook publication ‘For Kids' Sake’, Nicola researches and writes about all issues in relation to family separation and divorce in order to support her clients. She is knowledgable on family law matters as well as the family court process.
“I’m passionate about using the power of communication to defuse conflict in the separation/divorce space. By working with parents in bespoke, person-centred workshops, I offer specialist support and child-focused guidance to encourage new perspectives on dealing with the challenges of family transitions.”
