Do you want to have Spell Check on the OurFamilyWizard website?

We get a lot of requests for spell check.  We don't have it because most browsers have it built in or offered via free plugins, no sense in reinventing the wheel.

Below are instructions on how to get your browser to spell check your text entries on the OurFamilyWizard website and every other website that you use:

Internet Explorer
Firefox

A quick and easy to use tool that works with most internet browsers is the google toolbar.  The toolbar is free and can be installed on nearly every computer.  There are instructions on google's website to walk you through how to get it setup and what else you can do with it.  In addition to spell check, it can help you with searches, translating pages and much more

Internet Explorer

Internet Explorer requires additional software to spell check text areas in web pages. There is a free plugin called ieSpell which can be added to the Windows 9x/ME/NT/2000/XP versions of Internet Explorer 5.0 and later. Full installation and use instructions are available on the ieSpell web site.

Firefox

Starting with version 2.0 of Firefox, the browser supports both dynamic (i.e., "as you type") and context-based spell checking, enabled automatically. Firefox will check any text you enter and alert you to possible errors by adding a dashed red underline to any potentially misspelled words.  Click here to learn more about firefox and its features.

Safari

The Safari browser also supports both dynamic and context-based spell checking. To learn more about how to use the spell check in Safari, please consult the help section in your browser, it will provide dynamic links to help you with whatever you are trying to do.
