The question mark illustrates a request to trade or forfeit days between.  Simply submit the dates you would like to trade and hit submit, the other parent will receive notification and be asked to approve or refuse the request.  If they refuse the request, they can make a counter offer.  All trade requests are documented so you can trace back to who agreed to what.

An exclamation mark shows a scheduling conflict.  Anytime a person is scheduled to be in two places at once the system will alert you.
